Every now and then, Jon and I drag ourselves to the theatre. Frankly, there's nothing worse than the
theatre crowds, what with the cell phones ringing, the talkers, the screaming infants, the seatkickers, and the
noisy, wrapper-crinkling eaters - what Jon and I refer to as "the feedbag." Despite these issues, we stay
current. Interested in a new film review? Check these headlines every week, always on the home page for
your convenience. Great films go green, above average glow yellow, average flicks turn red, and terrible
films are colored brown because, well....isn't it obvious?

This section is for the curious, the people who understand that black and white isn't boring, that
old isn't bad, and that there are more good old films than good new ones. This section is also
aimed at you self-proclaimers. You know who you are - the ones who make statements like, "I've
been a Herbie fan all my life!" Only, predictably, you've never seen the original Herbie films.
You've watched the Lindsey Lohan remake a dozen times (for reasons you can keep to yourself)
and now you assume you know it all.
So, for the film literate, enjoy this section - you will be pleased. For the self-proclaimers, get in
here and learn something!
Every week, the front page will showcase a randomly selected film review. It could be a new review of a new
film, a new review of an old film, or an old review of an old film. See? That's what random means. No plan. No
pattern. No rules. So get ready. One week it might be "Gladiator" and the next week it might be "She's All
That." You'll never know!
For every great film, there's a bad film. And for every film so "great" it's
terrible (The English Patient), there are just as many films so terrible,
they're GREAT. Of course, there are some films that are just so bad, they
can't even be laughed at. Well, we don't discriminate in this section. Every
week get ready for a new review, and educate yourself in film's sometimes
dubious, off-putting, or underrated moments in history.
If we ever reviewed it, ever, you can bet you'll find it in the archive, alphabetically sorted and shelved.

There's a lot going on in film and DVD land that's worth explaining, complaining about, and commenting on. You can be sure we do that here. The latest rants and raves are always in the "Headlines"

Today, many actors and directors aren't worth remembering. However, there was a time when filmmakers and performers were truly great. We forget none of them. Every month, a new tribute.
